valid concern about the thermal bridge. Always surprised to see the IMI has continuous stone sills back to storefront on their standard details.
I never draw my masonry ties in hand sketches assumed that was there.

looks good. go for a 2” air gap not 1”. 1” is
insufficient, rest of the world goes bigger. don’t forget mortar nets, but don’t go full height with it. 18” is fine. if you got the money, opt for stone sills. lipped brick - VE unless these windows are low. You’ll be looking up at a lintel anyways
