There are some genuinely good designs in the board game space, precisely because you have to abstract a lot of things to keep the rules set manageable, but if you zoom too far out, you risk having the game lose some interest.

I think most of the Kylo-Rey and the Luke-Rey stuff works very well, but the other arcs range from below average to offensively bad.
