I love this song so much. Also AP should have a knighthood by now.

Somehow, I think it’s even worse than that. He, like Trump, has the devotion and admiration of multitudes - multitudes of people whose opinions he does not value at all.

Well, we know he thinks defamation claims sound in the billions, so I’m sure he’ll pony up graciously.

Saw this yesterday. It’s weirdly impressive that their grievance politics has seeped down to this, almost molecular, level of detail.

I wonder what happened to Olympic Computers? They were, IIRC, 386sx models except there was no actual Intel chip in it.

Whenever P asks me what if there’s anything I’d really like as a gift my mind drifts in this direction, but Is never do any work again.

Yes, my aim was to show that games progressed over a number of years and I kept feeding in 10p pieces the whole way, from shark attack onwards. 1983/4 was pretty much the end of the line once Dragon’s Lair started demanding real money for 15 seconds of play. Then I met this guy in pupillage …

Ti-57 and a programmed lunar lander game that, of course, was just digits.

There was a penny drop machine on the pier, but like the crane machines they were there for tourists to throw money away not for people wanting to play Star Wars in a cabinet with a proper seat like proper legends. We had PETs at school but the first game I played was on a Ti-57 calculator.

I grew up in a seaside town in the 1970s and we were putting 10p pieces in to Shark Attack, then Space Invaders, Battle Zone, Joust and Tron. Nothing took tuppence and, as kids, we couldn’t care about betting machines. The amusements we hung out in is the one directly underneath Farage’s Clacton HQ

I don’t know what the US jurisdictional rules for (I presume) defamation would be.

It’s very odd thinking. If you’ve managed to persuade people that the GOP is responsible, caving sends a very clear message that you could have brought it to an end earlier by caving sooner. It’s like turning on a blame magnet.
