Is there any analysis out there that you consider credible? I’m not really interested in trips on existing mixed-traffic surface streets.
Does their ~3mm trips figure include short intra-convention trips? Does it include mixed-traffic surface trips?

They work well when installed properly!

It should be perpendicular (rotated to the left) and properly anchored to the asphalt. Also the fasteners should be secure via carriage bolts or some other method. There should not be a motorized fence where the rear wheels protrude.
