I saw the interview with his attorney around noon today. His simple claim that the government is not acting in good faith by refusing to call El Salvador is pretty simple. Everybody can understand that the people that we are paying to hold prisoners should be able to go get one. They don’t want to.

Here’s my favorite young person who was standing near me at the protest today in Chicago. There were many angry signs, some quite vulgar, some serious, many smart & snarky and some funny. I appreciate that she held this sign.

And just now…

The same will be true for executive orders. There will be many and all will be ready to go on day 1 and taking them to court will take months or years. I do also have a nagging suspicion that the appointed DOJ will immediately be pursuing cases against previous administration and D officials.
