Corned beef sandwiches & tonic water 🦖
The quantity of Lutherans all misty-eyed over the first Midwestern Pope is both adorable and disorienting.

Everyone I’ve ever met that was named Anthony Petrucci is about that dumb, so that scene checks out. #daredevil

A question I ask myself on occasion: Do I really want a particular job, or do I just want to write a novel about somebody who does that job?

People say that digital line work lacks character, but it’s simply not true. With just a little bit of practice, your digital line work can possess all the dithering and lack of confidence of your real media work!

Well hey! This has been in the works for a while, so it’s great to finally get it out there… gotta love a project that reunites all my favorites, including STEM, Princeton, and Dean Robbins!

This reminds me of a related problem, which is that AI consciousness is often being promised by folks with dubious or low theories of mind.
It's plausible that in some domains LLMs (and RL-LLMs) aren't mediocre just because that is the level that they're at right now but because our concept of 'mediocrity' indexes to LLM-ish processes in individual and collective human cognition

Joint No. 1 in my #FavePicturebooks24 is…

“The Iguanadon’s Horn” by @seancrubin.bsky.social. It is a truly brilliant exploration of changing understanding. It creates a picture of how in science, art and imagination are part of the process to finding answers. Exceptional #PicturebookPage

This week is a great time to send emails you do NOT want responded to. It’s like feeding emails to a goat.

I loved the Iguanodon's Horn by Sean Rubin! It had every detail about dinosaurs I've ever thought would make a great book, skillfully woven together to say something important about how science works. Brilliant! 📚👍#kidlit #nonfiction #nfpb

Posted one cat picture, feed is now nothing but cats.

Might post a clever, unused picture book idea.

After living and working with a cat in my studio for nearly a year, my main conclusion is that the domestic shorthair is literally the most dangerous animal on the planet.

Also: we love her.

Me: What day?

Charlie: You know, da day! Da day they invaded Europe!

Sammy: It’s pronounced D-DAY!!!

Charlie: Oh!
