That's the problem. The last election sounded like the most racist, sexist and xenophobic one Id ever seen and so many white people refused to even address how scary it was
...because white nationalism isn't an existential threat to all of them and they felt they could take their chances.

thinking more about this: it is highly ironic that at the same time that it serves as a test case for the "unitary executive," this administration is all but being led by two subordinate officials with no immediate political accountability.
