I just read the biography of Carter by Jonathan Alter. Carter gets a bad rap for his Presidency, but he actually did far more than most realize. Most of what he did was a bit too bookwork for the general population to grasp, but we all benefit from it today.

Now seemed a good time to read this bio. Though considered a "failed President," he did more than people know concerning the environment, energy, the Federal judiciary - all "wonky" things that don't make great headlines but have had an enormous impact on us all. He was a decent and good person.
