That's the problem isn't it. When a governement proposes something the Nazis did - even if it's not the worst thing the Nazis did - the optics are terrible. Obviously nobody was prosecuted at Nuremburg for jewellery theft, but like using language that echos Enoch Powell, why risk those comparrisons?

I've never heard anyone else mention this album, but it's really good. She Wants So Many Things is one of the best Dylan songs that isn't by Dylan.

He's 8th in line - and The King and William never fly on the same plane just in case. I think they've decided it's not worth creating new laws to change the succession when Andrew has no chance of becoming King unless there is the world's most unlikely sequence of 7 freak accidents.

How could the Royal family possibly have predicted this 30+ years ago when his nicknames were Randy Andy and the Playboy Prince?

Ann Summers are missing a trick if they don't start marketing sex toys as 'vagina-compatible bullets'.

Oh wow. We haven't changed a bit!

Yes, random reference, but I couldn't think of anything more famous that happened in 1946. One year earlier and it would have been easy.

I think we all decided that fewer people would have heard of Queen Luisa de Guzman of Portugal. Happy 412th to her, though.

Happy 488th birthday to Lady Jane Grey, though. That's a lot of candles to blow out, even if your head hasn't been chopped off.

Glad to hear that she got back from Riyadh safely.

As someone who has been very unimpressed with him, I thought it was a good speech. Better than I expected him to be on standing up for immigrants and against racism. Makes me more likley to give him the benefit of the doubt for now. And he did 'toolmaker' for the fans.

Oh bloody hell, they are calling it a Brit Card!
