I told the gays I was going to the co-workers, and the co-workers I was going to the gays, so that no one would feel bad. So I'm roasting my own turkey and I cannot wait until the house starts to smell! It's the best. Hope you are celebrating Thanksgiving just the way YOU want to!

I was also invited by co-workers and some neighbors, and I know they mean well, but also what they want is to have their charming, funny "gay friend" in the mix (which is fine; better than the alternative, I suppose!) and I just don't feel like being "on" all day as the diversity token. 💁♂️

The gays I was with last year are super fun, BUT: OMG, they cannot cook. It took genuine effort to summon a polite and encouraging "mmmm." Thanksgiving is my favorite meal and it was bad.

Beautiful day here in the vast cornfields of the American midwest. Went for a drive in the country, did some thinking. Bought my pumpkin for Halloween at a farm stand. Did my grocery shopping. Trying to maximize my laziness before going back to work tomorrow.
