Fuck, I wish you were wrong.

Depression and a sense of loss kept me from writing anything but service journalism crap for close to three years. I'm back into my novel now and just started a non-fiction project with a dear friend. The sickness fades, man. Your talent's still there.

I feel that. Freelancing—writing in general, really—means never having a quiet mind for the rest of your whole damn life. I’m my case, heap a little PTSD on top and you’ve got the making of a good time.

I bought a stationary bike and use kettlebells, daily. I’ve also found that Apple Fitness+ has been great for flexibility and strength building. Not having to be chunky around people who aren’t chunky as I attempt to be less chunky has been a huge win.
