I came to the Blue Sky because Facebook trotted out their new TOS. What I left behind is a group dedicated to my favorite fandom -- A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens. I left word with the members of my group that they could find me here.
I did take the lesson. I dumped 3 friends in the ensuing decades because they were similarly ill equipped to have friends.

In the latter case it seems that people ARE getting along

If there’s a disagreement it’s OK; but if someone is insulted or outraged or others injured it suggests that someone is being aggressive. Otherwise people just had an interesting disagreement.

I searched hard for the word. My idea of aggression is mostly verbal.

It also occurs to me that younger children are highly individuated too.

I can’t think of any good reason why parents should react aggressively to individuation, except inasmuch as they’re not working hard enough on the relationship.

I believe that love is Godly and eternal, yet imperfect on the level we experience it. Also our understanding of who and what we love is limited, which probably adds to the impermanence of the joy we feel in it.

I remember an immersive nature experience that faded, just faded. Swam back to shore.

That is so cool. Lately my eyes are open to the philosophical themes running barely disguised through fiction. Whatever took me so long. It’s hard to contain my enthusiasm and you’ve been narrowly spared some of my specific observations.

On the other hand, you love that long lost pet. Perhaps that’s fodder for eternal happiness.

Still, that halcyon day in the backyard with fluffy came to an end when you were emotionally saturated with it and changed activities.

Or, maybe fluffy went to sleep and you had homework to do or dinner

I neglected to finish that idea. I believe the only happiness that can sustain itself forever is the happiness of a deep connection with God.

Russ sent me this link for free reading, and also he says starting tomorrow there should be a provision for ordering the book. I forgot to tell you it’s an about the new Superman movie from last summer. emeraldcityvideo.net/2025/11/12/e...

Also I really love this scene because he’s using his perspicacity for health diagnosis.

It’s beautiful, Russ. Can I place an order?
November 17, 2025 at 6:07 AM
He doesn’t have an order page for it yet, that I know of. The ink is still wet. The books will be stocking stuffers. Shameless plug but it grew naturally from the conversation. There should be free online ways to read some of the material
