Yeah, and in story-heavy games, things like bad fonts can be quite noticeable. Thankfully the presentation (especially text labels, but also colours and to some extent icons) is somewhat easy to tweak, so I can get feedback from testers (probably including some with disabilities) and then tweak it.

I haven't, but I've mostly read EVNs and VNs written in other languages that I speak. And and then there's the stuff that gets written in English and translated badly into other languages 😞

Thanks! The buttons are a quick menu (with tooltips, but currently not UI sounds). I wanted it to be fun, somewhat realistic (both the art and some animal behaviours described) and slice-of-life. Not quite to remind me of my childhood, but definitely to remind me of the countryside, so close enough.

Apparently I'd followed Lemon but not you, so I just fixed that. Here's a screenshot from an O2A2-scoped VN about a sheep that can speak human. It wasn't in fullscreen, but I think you can tell what's inside the game window.

For some reason, people get language codes and country codes mixed up all the time. English as a language is EN, Danish is DA, French FR. The country codes in the poem are the UK, Denmark and Switzerland. I've actually seen Swedish called FI/SE, maybe because it's spoken in both Finland and Sweden.

🇬🇧 I haven't released VNs set during the holiday season, but whenever I do, I guess it'll be about having to do a lot during it. 🇪🇸 No he publicado novelas visuales sobre la temporada de vacaciones, pero cuando lo haga creo que será sobre tener que hacer muchas cosas durante ella.

If the posts are about technology, they may use tech-related terms that are the same in many languages. I wonder how accurate it would be to just look for the most common 20ish words (or syllables or whatever if the language doesn't use spaces or uses very few) in each language avoiding tech terms.
