I've always been a fan of m dashes and use them frequently. I believe they serve a purpose that is not otherwise easily served -- making writing sound more like natural speech. So imagine my displeasure to learn *only* AI uses them so it's a reliable way to identify an author as non-human 😳

But how could that possibly be worse than the for profit system we have now in which middle men extract value out of every transaction, health insurance costs as much as rent and you're lucky to schedule an appointment within month? Our health care is catastrophically broken for the consumer.

Perhaps you mean users are lulled into *feeling* like they are communicating with a human. I'm sure there are cases of actual deceit (where ai is actually presented as human). But for most scenarios I'm familiar with, it's clear that it's an AI we're interacting with.

And yet there seems to be a very heavy demand for getting things done using natural language. Not suggesting that makes sense for all products and interfaces. But the adoption rate of LLM chat is unprecedented. So there's clearly an appeal.

And yet it's what people who interact with chat, particularly voice chat, want. So the market will produce that. What's more dumb are the completely humanoid robots that Tesla is creating. Both creepy and impractical.

Climate change denialists keep having to move the goal post because they keep being proven wrong over and over again. And yet, he thinks he can just say anything that fits his narrative with no evidence whatsoever. Also, he's generally wrong about everything

Charlie Kirk is justifiably reviled for spewing all kinds of hateful nonsense. And he was in the middle of exercising his speech when he was shot. But sure, for the sake of argument let's say the shooter's beef had nothing to do with Kirk's amplified political views...

Not a good example. Condemning violence against speech, even speech we disagree with, is well aligned with liberal principles.

So many questions about this. What was Kilmar's experience prior to the staged margaritas? What happened to him afterwards? None of the stories I'm seeing after even asking these questions much less answering them. None of this makes sense.
