Retired. Kidney Transplant recipient and making the most of every day. Learning guitar, playing very bad golf, coastal rowing and studying Art history. Back running and embracing the #parkrun community.
Edinburgh #parkrun this morning. Temperature up a bit from the last few days and I enjoyed a slightly less challenging pace than usual. Under 29 mins. Run 61 done and dusted and a notable event for my old Sauconys.

Smallest turnout at Whitekirk Hill #parkrun this morning. 48 walkers and runners enjoyed perfect conditions. Friend down from Shetland enjoyed a warm Whitekirk welcome. 2 secs off my PB!

#Parkrun number 50 at windy Whitekirk this morning. Call out at the start and enjoyed the run more than I expected given the blustery showers.

Special #parkrun #33 this morning at beautiful sunny #Whitekirk. We walked it together enjoying the views and the sound of skylarks above. 2nd anniversary of kidney transplant. A life changing operation.

Before and after. Stopped off to pay respects to the tallest tree in the #Edinburgh #botanicgardens, lost in Storm Eowyn. We had just been admiring it a couple of weeks ago. Dates from the 1850s. Very sad to see.

No #parkrun as all Edinburgh runs cancelled in the aftermath of #stormeowyn. On my own this morning. Sadly a couple of trees in #inverleithpark didn’t make it through the storm.

Cramond today for #parkrun 28. Largest Parkrun to date. 631 runners. Managed to finish today. Abandoned before Christmas due to cold weather. Great start to weekend. And son running #batterseaparkrun

First chance to see Everlyn Nicodemus at NGS Modern 1, Edinburgh. It’s both thoughtprovoking and a visual feast. Excellent film on the artist at the end of the exhibition. I’ll be back. #art #nationalgalleryofscotland #edinburgh #modernart #africanart #everlynnicodemus

Had to abandon the Edinburgh #parkrun this morning. Horrible cold easterly wind and snow. Borderline hypothermia back at the car. Lesson learnt - run will have to wait for another day. Current view from Stockbridge.

I wish I had read this before a recent trip to Biarritz and San Sebastian. Great introduction to Basque history and culture. #read
