my friend had a verbal spat with a troll at a protest that he filmed and is now spreading asking people to dox her to "prove" she's a paid protestor and I'm just like..how TF is this not harassment per yt/tt/FB ??(won't share the video bc it has very few views now & we're hoping it just dies down)

I was very overwhelmed by the noise etc of the expo at my conference and skipped out on lunch to go to the botanical garden and felt so immediately at peace walking around the outdoors...

I think wistfully sometimes about how much I miss clubbing and yet do not really like loud bars....I thought it was just that I missed my friends, but I think I also missed dancing a lot and didn't feel able to say so because I'm not a talented dancer by any means. Maybe I should take lessons

every recent book I read, esp by big authors, seems so phoned in. like if they're a Name, nobody edits them properly. nobody calls them on their shit or sloppy/lazy writing. nobody is familiar with the back catalog or cares about internal world (in)consistency. I sorely miss editorial presence. #📚

I didn't know how firmly this small dream of hiking across the grand canyon & rubbing the nose of the Brighty statue had taken root in my heart until it was taken away...I am so relieved that the people & the mules survived, I am so saddened by the other losses, especially of the forest
