That’s incredible. I heard and once believed that we only dream in first person, but in the last year I’ve regularly been dreaming in third person. Brains are weird

Yeah, it was very harsh, and I obviously felt sorry for Falstaff. But Hal does say you can reform yourself and earn your way, even if he knew that was unlikely and not what Falstaff had in mind when he befriended the heir to the throne

I might be misremembering or not have understood, but doesn’t Hal at the beginning of part 1 say to the audience that’s he just pretending to be a bad boy with Falstaff to make his reform the greater? If your friend needs more Falstaff, she can always check out The Merry Wives of Windsor

Unfortunately my day to day life is too mundane, stable, and linear for this to be an acid trip. Meanwhile the big picture is all

Agree to disagree. I simply love to dunk on shit and that’s so much harder to do when an issue is complicated and multifaceted, unless I don’t look into it and instead write the dumbest, possibly unrelated, shit imaginable and then slam Reply

I’m pretty sure all of them are dead now whereas, by not fighting animals, I am so far still alive

Not just you even. Other people around you had nothing to do with the conflict. Your children could die or be maimed as bystanders in a fight you have nothing to do with

And then when Achilles shows up in the odyssey in hades he’s like “I probably should have been a farmer or a slave. It was dumb to go to war and die a hero”

Was he also a gardener for Kimpton? Why is he so obsessed with the bamboo?

All these dudes can get fucked. Congrats! Also, what is with the guy who thinks PhD’s don’t go by doctor? Did he just never go to college? Or watch a movie set in college?

Ulysses was also for assholes but a different kind of asshole. There’s a James and Nora joke in there somewhere.

“People often, often people…” is one of the worse choices possible. Why not just go with either “People, often people…” or “People often, people…” is it really that important that we know sometimes the people who dream of her actually know her, since that is true of everyone

She can be in the tent provided she becomes at least a liberal

It’s very funny (whoops!) to imagine that the NYT writer is including it to make word count
