Thanks for sharing this rant. A shame that you (we) have to have the same arguments and defend the same territory again and again. You’d think most of these basic tenets were long settled, but worshipping at the Temple of Quantitative Truth is pretty deeply ingrained

I second what @mhoussayh.cpesr.fr said. Last year had "farewell" vibes. Also, crossing the border felt similar to crossing into Russia and Belarus, back when things started getting worse over there. Too strange.

Maybe again in a couple years, if the trajectory changes. Not optimistic, but maybe?
