The Social Security Amendments of 1965 and 1967 provided an exemption from some aspects of coverage for those individuals who are members of religious sects that make provisions for their dependent members.

Not all US citizens have SSNs. They are eligible to vote, even if DOGE system says no.

The United States began issuing visas as a requirement for entry in 1924, under the Immigration Act of 1924.

Your ancestors arriving before 1924 didn't require visas, immigration quotas by race or country of origin.

Enslaved people were not issued visas before imported to the United States.

Alabama, Idaho, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Utah, and Virginia directly control the sale of alcohol through ABC-licensed liquor stores.

Government-owned and -operated liquor stores -- no complaints from Republicans in GOP controlled states.

No evidence it was the real Vice President JD Vance created the account "jd-vance-1", or an impersonator attempting to steal JD Vance's identity with a look-a-like account name.

Verification serves a purpose.

What does the word "guard" mean? Rules of Force? What happens if someone gets too close to the building or the Marines are scared? Are they authorized to use weapons on a crowd of protesters.

What if Trump threw a parade and no one showed up.

Just Trump in his limo, driving down empty streets.

Why do GOP keep forgetting Trump was President in March 2020 to January 2021? When world shutdown (Trump saying over by Easter)

When Biden became President, vaccine made available, school closures ended, travel and economy rebound in 2021.

DOGE, under Musk, terminated hundreds of government contracts "for the convenience of the government."

A termination for convenience clause in a government contract grants the government the right to end a contract unilaterally, without cause, when it's deemed in the government's best interest.

Interesting that Monroe County, where University of Indiana-Bloomington is located, voted Democratic by over 62% while most of the rest of the state didn't.

Its almost as if the Indiana GOP legislature wants to reduce the number of voters leaning Democrat.

On July 1, 2024, in a 6–3 decision, Roberts wrote presidents have absolute immunity for acts committed as president within their core constitutional purview, at least presumptive immunity for official acts within the outer perimeter of their official responsibility, no immunity for unofficial acts.

The "new" media members of the White House pool don't seem to break new news, or even beat reports.

I guess that "unitary executive" was just a figment of the Federalist Society and Project 2025. All those executive branch departments and agencies take independent actions, and no one is responsible for what happens.

I'm confused (not confused). Did the Defense Department break into the ICE detention facilities and kidnap detainees, put them on DoD planes, and fly them out of the country without DHS' knowledge, assistance or consent?

Or did the White House order ICE to look the other way.
