There are a lot of promises that aren't kept in multiple industries. My interest is selfish because I'm a Star Wars fan and having an R2, R3 vehicle makes my geeky heart happy. 🙂

True. Starting a new assembly line is very expensive but the hope was to offer lower-priced models. Not everyone wants to go camping with an EV. 🙂

None of this is true in my experience. Around town driving is mostly regenerative battery from braking, I even can use the battery while on the freeway (65+ speeds), I average 40+ mpg, I only fill my tank every 2-3 months (remote worker), service every 10k miles.

I am SO TIRED of the false dichotomy of either gas or electric. I've been driving a hybrid since 2013 and it is EXACTLY what we need to move towards until the electric charging infrastructure is actually built. Ford is re-tooling to offer more hybrids. You have a third choice.

I've been driving a Ford C-Max hybrid since 2013, I'm on my third one (first was a lease, second was totaled). This has been the most reliable and economical car ever. Unfortunately they stopped producing them in 2022. They should have kept it going.
