Yes. While there are absolutely things Democrats can and must do to slow, obstruct, etc, GOP hold both House and Senate majorities, severely limiting our options.

Johnson and Thune are handing over the own keys and relinquishing their own power. Even for the cynics this should be a shock.
We all like to yell at the Democrats, but it’s really Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate Majority Leader John Thune who are letting Elon Musk and his faceless goon squad make a mockery of their power as leaders of a coequal branch without uttering a peep or lifting a finger.

Do you wonder why you haven’t heard much about this massive TB outbreak recently? Cuz the CDC can’t hold any press conferences or issue public statements of any kind.

Dems failed in questioning Hegseth. Spent too much time on his character instead of his knowledge about the job he is to fill. #confirmationhearings

January 20 should be declared a day of mourning. A felon is going to take an oath he doesn’t believe in to protect and defend a country he doesn’t even like.

Could you have imagined, in 2014, that America would sink into the gutter of suffocating moral rot we’re now in?

These are actual words in the NYT. Imagine someone shows you this report in 2014, regarding an armed rebellion at the U.S. Capitol in 2021. And they tell you _this man_ is POTUS in 2025.

Who thinks we need to rethink this social Media thing and just quit sharing “stuff” and just unplug from it all?

What's behind Trump’s gonzo cabinet nominations?

Flood the zone? Yes, but it's deeper than that.

Trump wants to deflect our attention while he and his fellow billionaires loot America.

He's on his way to creating a government of billionaires, by billionaires, for billionaires.

What could go wrong when Dept of Education is dismantled? Ask a family with a disabled child. Ask rural families who have no “choice” when public school 40 miles away is only choice. Starve public schools of funds to educate your kids? Why??

Can we hang on to hope that there are still sane Republicans left in the Senate to stop what’s happening with these Cabinet appointments?

Nothing says Christian more than cutting social programs for the poor in order to give more to the wealthiest in our midst.
Trump's team is in "preliminary discussions about making significant changes to Medicaid, food stamps & other federal safety net programs to offset the enormous cost of extending Trump’s 2017 tax cuts next year.”

Medicaid, food stamps are now on the chopping block to fund tax cuts for billionaires.
Trump allies eye overhauling Medicaid, food stamps in tax legislation
As Republican leaders look for ways to offset the costs of a new set of tax cuts, social safety net programs are under discussion.
