I am not on TikTok but am starting to appreciate how much of a phenomenon it has become by promoting content from average users. IG seems to be all about influencers with mass followings (guess they generate revenue?). Don’t think I can handle so much video content though. bbc.com/future/artic...

Swahili Spot in West Oakland – the Bay Area’s first Tanzanian restaurant.

The owner kept saying that it is, “similar to Indian food – we use some of the spices.” It felt like a home cooked meal. The chicken was cooked to a tender consistency and the sparing use of spices brought out the texture.

This PBS Frontline documentary (Fire in Paradise) on the Camp Fire in 2018 still gives me jitters. It is an amazing insight into the speed at which fires spread and the scale and scope of the Herculean efforts of firefighters and first responders to contain them and save lives. youtu.be/F3OX1PR2SCM
