Weird to feel excited about anything these days, but grateful to have the "distraction" of working on a project I deeply believe in. Thanks to Getty for supporting books about women artists and excited to (eventually) see 'Structure and Flow: The Life/Work of Claire Falkenstein' out in the world!

I had the opportunity to spend a couple of days last week at Detroit's Hart Plaza, designed by Isamu Noguchi--a powerful reminder of the immense power and pleasure of public art (and huge props to the city for getting the fountain back up and running!)

Perusing archival photos of 'Sculpture by Harry Bertoia' (1975) at the Art Institute of Chicago and sort of losing it over the ashtrays placed on the benches (also so grateful to institutions, in this case @artinstitutechi.bsky.social for making exhibition archival materials available online!)

Paging @langealexandra.bsky.social and the rest of the architecture and design hive... does anyone recognize the font/ layout of this magazine clipping or can generally guess which publication this feature about the home Gordon Bunshaft designed for himself in 1958 may have come from?!

“For us to fall into the Fascist line of race bigotry is to defeat our unique personality and strength.” The ever powerful words of Isamu Noguchi, written in 1942, are hitting a little different on this Day of Remembrance in 2025.
