This is one of things I’ve come to realize about my comms education too, it’s going to be lifelong and ever evolving. But that also helped me feel confident I’m in the right field because that really excites me and doesn’t feel daunting 🥰

yep! you can see how brands that want to stay relevant have tailored their content/media to fit in with algorithms to specifically reach their target audience or consumer. I think we see this a lot with all the “niche aesthetic” content too, it just ends up becoming a giant ad #UTcommtheory

this is a great example; my bf and his best friends are all really into this and idk if it’s just because I spend more time with them now but I’m definitely noticing the ads, how it’s taken hold in pop culture, how much more accessible it is, and sports betting influencers too! 🏈🏀🎰 #UTcommtheory

Yep!! And how Twitter likes used to be public but now they aren’t 🫣 I sometimes use my likes and shares to further show what I care about and am interested in with the assumption/understanding that people will see it and draw their own conclusions #UTcommtheory

This is mostly how I use it too! Or to help me connect ideas I already have so I can think about things more deeply/critically. Sometimes it offers to write things for me though and I have to be clear in my prompts that’s not what I’m looking for ☹️ #UTcommtheory

That makes a lot of sense. At higher levels, strategy-based decision-making can create clarity and alignment across the organization. It can be more efficient for leadership to set the direction and keep everyone moving toward the same goal #UTcommtheory

I agree! I had a friend who worked there for a while as a barista and their store was on the way to unionizing but Starbucks shut it down. The relationship to their employees has been experiencing misalignment on multiple levels for a while 😕 #UTcommtheory
