Tonight is Dutch Remembrance Day. They honor the dead in WWII. They spent 5 years under Nazi occupation. 70% of their Jewish population was deported and murdered, the largest % of any nation. 300k ppl were hidden from Nazis by Dutch citizens, to include Anne Frank. 1/7

Discussing with a coworker today the VERA / VSIP survey we both got. They said on one hand they don't want to leave the government, on the other we already don't think social security will exist when we retire in 10 years and right now they aren't sure our government pension will still exist.

Jfc they ignored the federal workers who would have been hurt by the shut down, they ignored their constitutional duty to control the power of the purse, what the eff else are they going to give away. Vote them out of office, unless they are doing clear things to protect democracy. Not just words.
