Stardew Valley, manga, philosophy. These are a few of my favourite things. #ucu branch chair for University of Westminster Cavendish campus. Standing in #ucu #NEC elections for London and the East
I have this theory that any politician *anywhere* on the left who can make a clear and cogent case for helping others will be described by the Express, Mail, and Telegraph (aka the Unholy Trinity) as “hard left”
The Express will keep doing this.

Churning out anger and division.

They don’t take a day off, even on Christmas Day.

But this Christmas I’m inviting you to choose something different:

Humanity. Kindness. Hope.

Using the terrorism act to arrest someone protesting peacefully is a sign - if any more were needed - of authoritarianism

When peaceful protest is a crime, democracy is in deep trouble.

Funny how the issue of flatlining productivity never surfaces when it comes to executive pay
UK CEO salary increases outstripping those of the workforce.

Remuneration Committees & non-execs perpetuate fat-cattery as rises provide a benchmark for their greed.

Need worker-elected directors on boards of large companies, workers to vote on exec pay to secure equitable distribution of income.
CEO salary: an opportunity cost? - High Pay Centre
Against the backdrop of the cost-of-living crisis, data highlights a worrying trend: CEO salary increases outstripping those of the wider workforce.

All the claims against Dr. Beth Upton failed.

She’s entirely vindicated and her evidence was found more reliable.

Let’s see if a single paper actually represents that fairly…

Peggie tried to portray to the world that Dr Upton was hostile invader of the women's changeroom (Peggie and Maya failed badly). The court found Peggie’s and Maya’s evidence as totally unreliable.

Dr Upton was cleared of no wrongdoing. Her evidence was considered reliable.

My thread earlier focused on the discussion re. FWS - but I just want to draw this out really explicitly:

The press absolutely monstered Dr Beth Upton in the most appalling way – only for the Tribunal to find that Beth had done nothing wrong, but that Sandie Peggie had harassed her.
Also worth noting, the Tribunal found that Sandie Peggie had harassed Dr Beth Upton in a "hate incident".

Our media's reporting of trans issues is poisonous, unhinged, a betrayal by those who pretend to report impartially, and shamefully reminiscent of other hate propagandising throughout the last century. I'm surprised to see it in the UK but I need to learn that it is, since Brexit, just who we are.

But it's not a done deal yet. Please share urgently.
