Trying to do the right thing.
You mean to tell me that tariffs increase prices for Americans?

As I wrote to Doug Ford's office - the blood of the first child to die on a stretch of road where a camera once stood, will be on his hands.

Save the current camera locations and cross reference whenever a pedestrian is struck.

Every chance Doug gets, he moves us closer to the American mindset.

Sheesh! How much money does our city lose out on from tax-exempt religious institutions. I feel like this is another major topic that could be debated at length.

Doug Ford is moving Ontario laws in line with American ways of thinking when we should be moving towards European ways of thinking.

He talks a big game against Trump, but at the end of the day, he's not that different.

Your projections for Lansdowne 1.0 were far off and has cost the City much more.

Can the City tell us what the downside risks are here and what the exposure is for the taxpayers if the projections are just as inaccurate this time around?

The residents of Ottawa deserve to know.

It's a shame all the rural and suburban councilors have a larger say in how downtown operates against the wishes of the downtown residents and councilors.

Don't leave this at a thoughts-and-prayers-US-gun-control style post. Take action to make our streets safer, Mr Mayor. We can seriously change the way we design our streets to reduce the likelihood of these tragic events from happening again.

How did we do for reaching our target? How much in funds did Ottawa get from Ontario's Building Faster Fund?

So refreshing to have a councilor that actually looks outside their own city for inspiration. It's as if 75% of our councilors (and the mayor) look to small town, commuter suburbs for a grand vision for Ottawa. Small-minded councilors are stifling Ottawa's potential.

Is this the mayor of a Canadian city or an American city?
August 21, 2025 at 9:31 PM
68% up from abysmal. Ottawa achieved only 63% of our housing target for 2024, earning the city a grand total of $0 from Ontario's Building Faster Fund. Ottawa left tens of millions in free money on the table because we couldn't get our act together and build more homes.

What are your favourite cities around the world to look to for inspiration when re-imagining Ottawa's downtown?

If that top picture isn't York street in Ottawa, I don't know what is...
