I think poor education has a lot to do with it. Education isn’t about learning facts, it’s about learning to think and ask questions. To check the validity of what you are told and come to your own conclusions based on research. Any government or organisation that devalues education is dangerous.

I've read that in many Aboriginal communities, reproduction of the names and images of deceased people is restricted during periods of mourning. Perhaps this influenced the decision to omit an Aboriginal character from the series.
