My big two from the past five years are Ghostlight and The Eight Mountains.

The small film of 2024 that more people need to see is Ghostlight. Great film on the healing power of art.

I highly recommend the book the directors wrote on the making of the film.

I will what I did then. I won't focus on the two well-known films (Beauty and the Beast, Silence of the Lambs).

Let me instead mention the film that I wish more people knew and loved like I do: City of Hope, written and directed by the great John Sayles. #moviesky

I saw Finding You in 2020 when theaters were desperately looking for product, so some indie films got bigger releases than normal. I enjoyed how much music plays a part in the story of the female lead.

One of the most underrated Christmas movies, It Happened on 5th Avenue.
