Movie buff. Fan of St. Louis Cardinals and Pittsburgh Steelers. Father of four. Liberal politics. Used to play miniature golf a lot.
This was without the movie, just the music.

That said, I have seen The Wizard of Oz projected with a full live orchestra playing, and it was a great experience.

I once attended an orchestral performance of the score. Heard apart from the movie, it really impressed me.

I sure as hell am not.

I have worn out my copy of the soundtrack of Begin Again (and that of Sing Street as well). Carney really knows how to make movies about music.

A Girl Like You peaked at 38 on the Billboard Hot 100. Too Much Passion actually peaked at 37.

One of the few times the YouTube algorithm worked: I followed Spectrum Pulse first, and enjoying that channel generated the suggestion of @shadowtodd.bsky.social, starting with his best of 2018 video soon after it was posted. Todd is my favorite channel on YouTube.

My favorite theater has it in two weeks. Looking forward to it.

I loved when he called James Bond "Jimbo". It was a simple obvious joke but Baker absolutely sold it.

I actually haven't seen it, but I just checked the DVD out from the library to find out myself.

The original theatrical cut completely edited out the character of the boy who was briefly king. Ask yourself how much damage that does to the portrayal of Eva Green's character.

You had me at The Beast.

It is the first one I have seen where I actually cared about the human characters.

My youngest child came out eight years ago when he was 13 years old.

COVID seemed to change him for the worse. I gave up on him at that time. What had been a good show for debate is now just a platform for his rants.

I will say no. I worked retail in the 1990s and Empire Records is a ridiculous fantasy. Great cast, but not much else I would recommend. The movie that captures the retail experience is Clerks.

The contributing writers are what made the site. It succeeded despite the head guy, not because of him. I have not visited it in years.

My ninth grade English class was GAT English. In tenth grade, the title became AP (Advanced Placement) English.

I saw a screening of The Fugitive two years ago that included a 10 minute taped interview with Andrew Davis attached. He was clearly just scratching the surface of stories he could tell.

I was working at a video store when Empire Records came out. My coworkers and I thought it was hilarious how overstaffed the store was. We certainly didn't have all that time to lounge in a break room. We were too busy waiting on customers.

I attended a screening of Raging Bull yesterday near Ohio State and I am happy to report the majority of the audience was younger than me. So there are still some people excited to actually watch historically great films.
