There’s nothing I’ve heard by them that I don’t like at least a bit. It’s just that I’ve yet to find myself thinking, “I’d enjoy listening to that GBV album right now.”

Steve Albini was right. Analog recording isn’t better because it allegedly sounds better. It’s better because it’s the best way of preserving recordings for the future. Anything that only exists digitally will probably disappear within a generation or three.
