The bondage themes in the early Wonder Woman comics were *very* intentional

Took my daughter and her friend to the library so they can prepare for a Science Olympiad competition this weekend. Friend’s mother came to pick up her daughter - and is now stuck in the elevator.

Latest build: Tap-O-Matic Delay, which is a variant of the @oamodular.bsky.social / @livartz.bsky.social Time Machine. This was a group buy of panels and PCBs arranged on @divkid.bsky.social’s Discord and the first time I ordered components individually - I only forgot to buy four switches!

That six on the front plate is never not going to bother me.

My current Eurorack case setup. The years long dissatisfaction and subsequent churn has finally started to settle down. I’ve been using this setup for a few weeks now and for once I don’t feel the urge to reorganize it every time I use it. I’m using it more regularly than ever and learning a lot.

I suppose billions of cicadas would be worse, but these Texas frogs are damn loud

I have the Befaco Instrument interface; it’s fun.

Next step is a pedal interface so you can run your Eurorack through your pedals.

Assembly complete!

I haven’t tried it yet; I still need to calibrate it yet, but I did plug it in and all the lights light up, so I’m pretty confident I didn’t assemble an expensive brick.

Got some more soldering time in this weekend after a two-week hiatus due to life throwing a couple of curveballs my way.

Finished soldering the 127 resistors and then moved on to finish placing 30 diodes, 55 capacitors, 14 IC sockets, 5 ferrite beads, and a USB jack. And I still have 7 bags to go.

First batch of resistors finished. Three hours went poof. Lots more to do. Pretty happy with how this one is looking.

I think I was supposed to eat something a couple hours ago. I should go take care of that now.

Every time I’m at a renaissance festival watching a jousting match I imagine an alternate reality where jousting occupies the cultural space held by professional wrestling in ours.

Me, sitting down to try and start putting together a pedal board, “man, I can’t believe some people go to a shop to have them put a board together for them!”

Me, thirty minutes later, “man, I totally get why someone would pay a shop to put together a pedal board for them.”
