Baby bunny update: the nest is empty, as expected - but this little guy was still hanging out in the raised bed last night. There’s plenty of tall fern and evergreen shrub cover next to the garden so I’m sure it’s siblings are fine.

Solid turnout at the Stone Arch Bridge Festival in #Minneapolis today. Super peaceful, everyone getting along. Lots of heckin’ good doggos, too. Cities are wonderful places!

What little sun there is, isn’t doing any work, and it’ll be gone before 4:30. The wind is unceasing and getting ready to howl all night. We have to be tough in #Minnesota to get through this.

Harvested several weeks ago, still have ripening tomatoes from my #Minnesota garden! Biggest ones are about to turn, so I’ve chopped ‘em up with my own peppers, leeks & herbs + store bought white onion & garlic. Pork fat drippings instead of olive oil. Into the outdoor grill for 40 minutes!

Fat flakes in the 55113, but turning into slush. Still lots of green grass. Will have to bring the rosemary into the garage tonight & tuck the mums into the front porch.

The clouds were amazing all day, so I stood out in the University’s field at sunset just now hoping for a cool show, but meh. Not horrible but not the ribbons of color I was hoping for. (And then all the gnats…)

What a beautiful night last night at the #MinnesotaStateFair - crowded but chill. Went 3 times this season.

Fairgrounds were opened at 0900, but our neighborhood will be offline for a couple days - lots of poles and transformers knocked down, some cars and houses damaged. We lucked out in that regard but will lose everything in our fridge
