I work as a part-time professor in the Computer Science department at my alma mater. It's darned frustrating, because there are some people here who have consumed the proverbial "kool-aid" in terms of using LLMs for education, and in some departments, even accepting it to help with assignments.

My running theory is that Malört is popular by people from Chicago because there is some undetectable, highly toxic substance that fries your taste receptors in their air or water supply.
