Tottenham. Celtic. Steelers. Dad of 2 boys.
Obviously none of this matters but Stephen Kelly was asked a leading question too (I don’t think he was sack Ange?) but he also said Frank will be under pressure. Happy with Frank, I just wish we could enjoy it without joining in the ‘games. Have a good one.

Jay Harris comes to mind on Sky Sports this morning.

I hear Frank is already ‘under pressure’ to follow Postecoglou, from some of the same people who said sacking Postecoclou was the right thing. The new narrative will be along these lines and it will be lapped up.

Just to be clear, which I thought I was being, I’m not saying that is our shortlist

Ha that was hidden behind my comment. I’m no Rodger’s fan.

I think that’s the point. Is Frank the ideal man because he will be more accepting of not being fully supported and maybe sneaking into 4/5th and that’s all people see Tottenham as? When people say X is ideal for Tottenham maybe they should explain why Pep, Klopp aren’t ideal.

I heard Davies is getting a new contract with 2 caretaker manager stints included……

The fact I feel I’ll also be defending Frank in 2 years, due to the context of working for this Tottenham Hotspur and whatever else comes up, while I’m told he should be doing better regardless, is also something to look forward to!

I just think from Levy’s perspective he can say what he wants about success, managers will never quite have what they need to win. Until they somehow manage it, then we’ll sack him.
June 7, 2025 at 8:32 AM
We are all different but e.g. I remember Burkinshaw for the moments he gave us and not the relegation, 40ish% win ratio. I just don’t think Levy kept Poch for the hope of winning anything.

Honestly, if you drag me back into this shit with your positivity, I’m not going to be happy.😃
June 7, 2025 at 7:21 AM
I think my disappointment etc. isn’t just that I liked Ange but comes from the fact I used to think Levy just didn’t know what he was doing on the football side of things and he might get lucky one time but I now think he does know what he is doing.
June 7, 2025 at 7:18 AM
I agree but in my considered opinion, I think it’s 100% clear (the romantic in me ignored that this might be 100%) Levy prefers the, in his view, less risky way of achieving that i.e. finish in a CL position. Ange bet everything on black and won. ‘Too risky’.
June 7, 2025 at 7:04 AM
I maybe always thought he was mistakenly rolling the dice but I think we can remove any thought of that now. No interest in our version of success. League position gives the most reliable line of money. A trophy would be a bonus sum of money. Why did Poch keep his job so long?? (I loved Poch FYI)

Good point

I think I read Ange is the first manager since Shreeves to leave in the post season, so I’d say that’s the only way we ever operate!!

Brendan Rodgers contract is up next year…….
June 6, 2025 at 9:01 PM
It feels like another thing to suck the romance out of football.

I wonder if my sons will be disappointed if they don’t get some plastic shit and a crappy birthday card when I cancel our memberships!!
