Errands on my bike today. In the morning it’s a haircut, lunch, and two grocery stores. In the afternoon it’s picking up our farm share. This belt-drive bike has powered my commute, shopping, and evenings out for 10 years.

For those of us old to remember the idealism of Bobbie Kennedy’s 1968 presidential campaign, seeing the murderous POS that RFK jr. has become is particularly depressing.

I am a hypermasculine and extremely powerful alpha male. As such my greatest fears are seed oils, rainbows, people who don't look like me being on TV, and preventative medicine. I cannot explain any of these fears and consider that to be your fault.

“Over the past 20 years, Paris has undergone a major physical transformation, trading automotive arteries for bike lanes, adding green spaces and eliminating 50,000 parking spaces.

Part of the payoff has been invisible — in the air itself.”

Leadership, strategy, real action, common sense. #Paris
Paris said au revoir to cars. Air pollution maps reveal a dramatic change.
Air pollution fell substantially as the city restricted car traffic and made way for parks and bike lanes.

We should all start openly carrying sandwiches, shaking them demonstrably whenever we see a law enforcement agent.

All the shitty stuff you see ICE doing to immigrants on videos, regular cops have been doing to black folk since forever.

I’ve watched 4 seasons of The Bear and only just noticed the restaurant doesn’t have any dishwashers. Class politics are everywhere.

“I no longer have the strength to work for the media. My body is thin and I can’t work anymore.” The last journalists remaining in Gaza are near death from forced starvation. There is enough food at the border to feed the entire population for 3 months. This is genocide.
A horrifying statement published today by the Editorial Committee of the Agence France-Presse (AFP) news agency.

"Without immediate intervention, the last reporters in Gaza will die"
