Bought my kid a pop up book about frogs. She has never hated something so viscerally. The frog is simply too 3d and induces a combo of fear and rage in her that is genuinely so intense. She simultaneously wants to run away and also to obliterate it.

Taking a hike is great for ignoring the horrors. This squirrel wouldn't call me a slur. This dipper doesn't know what the EHRC is. Linn Park smelled so strongly of wild garlic everywhere, and I also saw a crow eating frog guts (not picturd). Excellent.

I miss birding more. Really trying to get outside now that Tabby can toddle. I don't think her yells are conducive to easily photographed birds, however.
Anyway, saw a kingfisher for the first time in Pollok Park, as well as at least half a dozen woodpeckers!

Tried to plate the haggis neeps and tatties (all vegan!) in a stack but only had a scone cutter with a handle. Not actually very useful.
