Had a great time at the Australian Marine Science Association (AMSA) meeting in Hobart, Tasmania last week! The highlight was to hang out in person with my long term cyber-colleague @nvogtvincent.bsky.social! on an authentic bushwalk led by coral reef 🪸 connectivity legend Jeff Leis!

Today I am wearing my black & golden scarf. Putting it on I remembered shopping for it in Zanzibar with my local Muslim friend who couldn't understand why I wanted black when I could wear every other color 😅 Asha Hamza I miss you & 💜 you, always!

You know what is sabotaging my fitness/weight loss plans? That I am terrible at free food! The other day at the UNSW open day I had to have the free paella & dumplings & ice cream & sugar floss & popcorn 🍿🤦🏾♀️but also I remembered how fun and amazing Universities are!!

My latest creation: a hat for Oswald the penguin 🐧... he boarded the #RVInvestigator on an Antarctica trip an decided to stay on board guarding the yarn. I heard he soon has another trip to the icy continent so the hat may come handy
