I'm currently at the wonderful @oegpjuwis.bsky.social #writingretreat, working on a grant proposal. Can we please arrange for all our academic events to have emotional support cats (and goats, dogs, and pigs)?

Got to hold today's undergrad differential psych lecture at our department. Today's topic was The Self and I loved, how much I learned preparing for it and (even more) discussing it with the students.

Absolutely in love with the views I get to enjoy on my way to Göttingen, where I'll work on a super exciting project with @larspenke.bsky.social and Larissa Wieczorek. Let's hope the train gods (looking at you, DB) remain in my favor for the next 8 hours.

Saw a great (though quite devastating) play yesterday evening. The most devastating fact about it: it was written in 1778 and is premiering right now. Why? Most likely because its author Christiane Karoline Schlegel was a woman.

Currently feeling lots of emotions. Just finished teaching the first session of my new seminar on sexuality and relationships. First time teaching these topics & got great questions and inputs from the students.

Reasons for loving the city I live in #1: Twice per year there's a big flea market where people open their gardens/yards to everybody and basically the whole city becomes a living room for all of us.

Discovered this sculpture ("Die Pietá" by Anna Chromy) on my final walk through Salzburg this afternoon. #DPPD2023 is officially over and was full of great talks and chats with amazing people. I'm looking forward to catching up on sleep though 😅

I'm usually really not one to do anything work-related on Sundays. And I don't believe in posting about work on the weekend. But look at how beautiful the psych institute in Salzburg is 🤩

Spent the last couple of days at a writing retreat organized by our uni's postdoc office. View, people, and atmosphere were amazing ✨ And I'm traveling on with a nearly done results section for a paper I'm very excited about 🤓

#HiSciSky!
🔎 I'm a personality researcher focusing on bias & accuracy in self- and other-perception. Also interested in anything related to gender, sexuality, relationships, open science & trust in science.
🌊 Happiest at the seaside & in communities aiming to improve science/academia.
