I tend to base my HoF criteria on JAWS scores of same position players. He’s absolutely a HoFer, and he tucks in as “pretty average”.

No disrespect @russdorsey.bsky.social but this is just plain incorrect. In this century the Orioles never traded their stars timely— Machado was out two months before free agency, Britton was on a one year deal, and Markakis was *never* traded. Nor Jones, Wieters, Hardy, Gausman, Tillman, or Chen.
