I've made live letter summaries for my FFXIV friends who aren't all caught up or don't want to know the next chunk of MSQ, so I always had to take that into account. originally posted in discord, but found it limiting so I started learning HTML/CSS/JS. partially for fun, partially for friends.

I don't post remotely as often as I once did on twitter, but I hope to one day get more comfortable posting my art and game progress on here to share my journey through gamedev.

Between all of that has been a wild ride of depression and anxiety which I've had to work through. I've been slowly but surely been getting better with managing it all with the bonus help of medications, but I still have major steps ahead. I'm thankful to all my friends who've helped me thus far 🙂

wish I could share more on the project, but I'd rather keep quiet-ish about this until we have more set in stone and something to actually show, rather than promising the world with something that's little more than a prototype so far.

Future games will be a departure from the small experiences I've made before but with this change I hope to bring more complete and fun experiences going forward and keep with my goal of making polished and nice game-feel-y games.

Because this game is much larger scaled than Dodd was, we've been taking our time to properly plan out and organize what we hope to be the best game we can create. I've been leading the team mostly as the "director" so far as well as lead programmer.

The new team member is much more experienced in managing and organizing projects which has been a major help since they joined and will be shaping how we plan and develop games going forward. They're essentially herding our wandering minds to help give goals to work towards a complete game.

I've met a new friend who's been working with me on games! We formed @timetoeatrocks.bsky.social which we plan to release future games under. A few abandoned projects later and I decided to reach out to a longtime friend who I invited to help keep us on track.

Since its release I've come to realize that my approach to developing games needs more direction. My released projects up to this point have been a miracle in their own right, development direction being mostly how I felt in the moment, which led to a lot of unfinished and directionless games.
