Mostly the latter, but also, the administration is as disorganized and incompetent and subject to Russian disinformation as its leader.

The Iowa WR recruit who had the most successful NFL career? Scott Chandler.
November 22, 2025 at 11:04 PM
You could also state unequivocally that walk on safeties at Iowa have had more NFL success than scholarship WR recruits in the KF era. Considine played 99 games, and Pagel and Gervase both played 19 NFL games too. Charlie Jones came to Iowa w/o a scholarship, but even if you count him...

Right. I’m more interested in the Iowa DBs in the NFL vs Iowa WR in the NFL contrast. Why have KF DBs played over 1000 NFL games and made ~$200 million while WR have played 100 games and made ~$10 million.
November 22, 2025 at 10:32 PM
Yeah. Fun fact- Nate Kaeding Jason Baker/Tory Taylor did well for themselves, which means that the punter and kicker position groups have made more NFL money than the WR position group. By far. And they’re close to the QB group- greatly exceed if if you adjust for salary inflation.

CJ is the leader with $12 million. Add in the money made by Stanzi, Rudock and you have a few million more. Smith-Marsett is the leader at WR at $4.3. That’s what Wirfs makes in a few games.
November 22, 2025 at 9:58 PM
Receiver too. Compare the money made by KF’s receivers in the NFL to the money made buy other position groups. Over $200 million in most groups (DL, OL, TE, LB, DB), a few million by receivers.

Stupid argument, since you there are still many constituent services to be provided. I’m not sure how the vacancy works in practice, but, of many examples, there is no rep to propose students for the military academies.
November 22, 2025 at 3:01 PM
Agreed. Elected reps quitting in the middle of their term simply because they feel like it are violating their obligations to their constituents.

They’re just out there destroying all ethical restraints in our government.

15 1/2, if you’re referring to the Republican Party generally.

Seriously, the level of difficulty, the stakes, etc.
November 8, 2025 at 8:29 PM
It’s not anything close to a plan. It’s the village idiot who has participated in healthcare policy discussions from time to time over the last decade who understood and absorbed at most 10% of what was discussed and now has worse than zero understanding of the issue.

Bills are usually due 8/1, so Dec 15 is 4 1/2 months late. County will collect nearly $9 billion. What is the interest rate on that money? $9 billion at 3% interest for 4.5 months is $100 million.

Just in an emergency. Which we are in - right now. When will we not be in an emergency, you might ask? When Trump says we’re not.
November 6, 2025 at 1:17 PM
Maybe. I’d love to grill an analyst who just raised the price target from $350 a share to $460 per share, both of which are insane. What I don’t get is why anyone holding the stock doesn’t just sell right now? Why stick around to vote for his pay package, or anything else?
November 5, 2025 at 1:38 PM
I can’t agree with you that the mythology has worn off with the current stock price. The “Elon Mythology” is responsible for at least 85% of the $1.5 trillion $TSLA valuation. More than any human at any point in business history, right now, based on what I agree is a total myth.

Stirtz played 39.4 minutes per game last year!
November 5, 2025 at 3:24 AM
$10,000 per day is $3.65 million per year, which is the salary of 20 people at the rate of $180,000 per year. For a news editor. How is that possible?
November 3, 2025 at 4:35 PM
Yes, and also he can’t be confronted with bad facts like ICE overreach or increasing prices or declining polls because he will simply refuse to believe them.

A resistance lib has penetrated their headline writing department and I’m here for it.
November 2, 2025 at 6:15 PM
This is correct. The thing I’ve always wondered about Douthat, is that has anyone ever truly cared what he said or wrote about anything? (Aside from his role as a writer in elite publications). Would the NYT lose a single subscriber if he left? Would any publication gain a subscriber if he joined?

I think Hegseth figures that there is no point in being Secretary of Defense (War) unless he leads the military into a war that kills a lot of non-white people and takes a lot of another country's resources.

I see what you did there.
