I'm a bit lost. Can somebody explain to me why all of a sudden, President Trump is supposedly screwed because of the possible release of the Epstein files? Is anything potentially in the files really going to matter to the people who voted for him despite all the things he publicly said and did?

Sad that "today's shooting" isn't specific enough of a search term.
I hope all the Evergreen High School students heal without too much lasting physical and emotional pain.

The #gop is just mad that guns are killing so many young people. To help with that, #Florida is now going to make sure that the proportion is going to change in favor of measles, influenza and polio.

Is it weird that the president of a political party that never gets tired of calling for "State Rights" is now talking about federalizing the police of cities?

Normally it's New Zealand missing from maps, but it appears the 1998 TV show Secrets of War decided to add a second Taiwan. Does anybody know why? They were nice enough to even point to the first Taiwan with this red arrow.

Even after more than 5 years of virtual meetings, it seems like "you're on mute" is still one of the most common things said.

I have no doubt he's serious about it. As the only President to be reelected after impeachment, there is no way he will start caring now about what the constitution says.

Just got my paperwork for the German elections in the mail.

The municipality mailed it February 6.
Elections were February 23.
Deadline to get the election paperwork into the German Consulate in Los Angeles so they could have sent it through their courier was February 17.

Better luck next time!

Here are a couple of possible answers we'll hear:
It's Biden's fault.
It's not actually inflation, it's just higher prices.
It's a lie.
If you keep reporting on this, you'll be excluded from the White House press corps.
Breaking news: Inflation heated up more than expected in January, as prices continued to weigh on Americans in 2025, potentially complicating President Trump’s agenda.
Inflation heated up in January, new data show
Consumer prices rose by 3.0 percent annually last month, hotter than reported in December.

I keep hearing that if Trump does not manage to lower the prices of groceries, people are not going to keep supporting him because he "broke his promise."

Maybe I'm just a bit pessimistic but the November 2024 elections are over. Are there going to be elections in 2026? 2028?

@eilfmovies.bsky.social thanks for the shout-out! Flying, very uncomfortable. And it's a smart car, not mini Cooper. Size 15-16 shoes.

Kudos to the press at the White House. I can't imagine just quietly sitting there when President Trump's answer to a question is "because I have common sense."

An indoor inauguration just shows how much of a weak geriatric Trump really is.

Come on, if William Henry Harrison could do it, so can Trump!

A Private War (2018)
Anatomy of a Fall (2023)

Two #movies about two different topics. Both of them just about blew my mind. Performances by Rosamund Pike and Sandra Hüller respectively are so convincing, I thought I was watching documentaries.

At this point, I am just surprised that Trump hasn't found a cabinet position for Hulk Hogan yet.
Maybe Surgeon General, with all the steroid experience he's got?

Senate *Republicans* are concerned about the ethics of the AG nominee? You elected a twice impeached, convicted felon, serial bankrupter & fascist who previously tried to overthrow the government to be President, and the ethics of a pedophile AG nominee are what you are concerned with?

It felt a bit weird to actually delete the Twitter app from my phone but I feel like that makes it more real. Unfollowing everybody there too was also weird but I hope people will slowly but surely find their way here. Next step sometime soon may my to delete all my Twitter history and the account?
