Oof, some of the Famous on Here come across a bit hoity toity. I get that Bsky etiquette is to not disagree with a post (either post a supportive message, or keep schtum). But this was someone agreeing with the original post? And someone famous for posts on language saying "consider not writing".

I think this one. Probably from Whites of Alverton (I don't think WHSmith had opened yet in Penzance when this came out).

Meatball scissors. They work OK ish for the first couple, then get all gummed up and sticky. Easier to use your bare hands (or pounce on the Em and Ess ones when yellow-stickered and pop in the freezer).

Doing Culture today. As I'm saving money on the eye-watering cost of the exhibition ticket (🤞), I feel justified in treating myself to a slightly less eye-watering (but still spendy) coffee and cream bun beforehand.

The ugliest bit of my walk to work (apart from the busy road I cross at the start) is probably the car park by the tube tracks, but one does see beautiful skies over the tracks nearly every day.

Should've been my beautiful chum Jonesy's birthday today, and our mutual chum Ian "Biggsy" Birrell. Found myself in the vicinity of our old Works' pub (the scene of many drunken shenanigans back in the day) so seemed rude not to pop in and raise a glass of vino in their beautiful memories.

A current favourite quick lunch, inspired by cucina povera: shred cabbage, cook in butter with a squidge of anchovy paste (+ chili flakes if desired); boil spaghetti and add to pan of cabbage when not quite done, plus some pasta water; finish cooking the pasta in the cabbage pan; top with fried egg.
