This is just to trigger urbanists.

A Whole Foods in central Miami with five (six?) floors -- but instead of being topped with housing (the dream!), they're topped with 100% parking.

And they have grade-separated transit right in front 😭

Please admire this Dodge concept truck I saw at the Ford Museum in Detroit last weekend.

Christ, look at this car. it’s a free for all out there on the roads and nobody wants to take ownership of it and do anything

Just unboxed! Looks beautiful! Congrats @benschneider.bsky.social

Love the over garage in an ally housing type. I’d love to live in a house that fronts an alley. No traffic.

I love that Cleveland Metroparks is using these efficient Kei trucks on their trails. These have great visibility and are relatively lightweight so are also safer for any potential collisions with pedestrians and cyclists.

I was in Toronto last weekend with my family (it was refreshingly functional!).

One of my big takeaways is that cities with subways are just totally different animals than cities without. The foot traffic! 😍

Okay Toronto rules

Honestly scary that Europe is going to start allowing American companies to import these monster trucks into their cities with little old ladies on sidewalks 😬😬😬😬😬 (as a result of tariff negotiations)

Both city council candidates in my ward are campaigning on this 💪🏼

Stop what you’re doing and admire this sidewalk please
August 6, 2025 at 8:19 PM
All summer we should be posting the prettiest shady sidewalks

This pink ford feista is when the automarket peaked in the US. Back when you could still buy an affordable, reasonable sized sedan and they made them in colors too
July 29, 2025 at 6:56 PM
Look how uggo this unshady sidewalk is by comparison
July 29, 2025 at 6:53 PM
Continuous shady sidewalk like this is a real thing of beauty

Always loved this house in Walhalla Ravine in Clintonville (Columbus)

Occurs to me that this is a good indicator of a walkable, vibrant street corner. And also a civically engaged community.

Shot in Cleveland’s tremont neighborhood in front of a first wave coffee shop that’s a gathering place for construction workers and elders.

Dang. 👀 take a look at this nice looking new build, urban style housing in downtown Springfield, Ohio 😻 who knew?

This is a really cool and special spot in Cleveland, unusual urban planning sorta coup.

This trail section (part of the 50+ mile Towpath Trail that goes from DT Cleveland south to Akron) used to a road. Houses here now front an active trail and some have converted their driveways to little patios

When Cleveland was really booming they used to sometimes put two houses on a lot. Here’s a weirder example

These bills all target repeat dangerous offenders. Like @transalt.org highlighted in this amazing report from last week, showing the top "Super Speeders" in NYC are all racking up hundreds of annual violations.

Next up: New York and California (and hopefully others)

I unironically love this fence

Smallish, affordable, two seater EV pickups? I hope this is real. 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

In Cleveland, builders used to name their buildings, I assume after women they loved. (Almost always women’s names)

Gets me thinking about the legacy ordinary people leave in their communities, even after they’re gone.
