Appeal to authority, but there's nothing obviously wrong with his heater per stuff models, at least wrt 2024 vs 2025. Nothing pops on arsenal metrics either.

Higher arm angle *and* lower ride is bizarre, you'd think it would mean he could get behind the ball better but I wonder if it's the other way around: he's losing ride at lower arm angles so he's raising it to claw some back, but it's creating a more downhill plane

to be clear, this is a great offer in a vacuum - but it's not a vacuum (friedman_rational.FLAC) - between him, Burnes, Fried, these guys are aware they can get bigger total numbers if they hit FA a second time, but they want the damn years

thank you for the context and the article - in general it seems like the transition to the MLB ball in AAA cuts down on spin rates - are teams confident that pitchers will recover their stuff with more reps?

the other thing I ought to point out is that those metrics in the article might be from AA/A+, not AAA - but you can see it's not that big a sample size

Bradish putting up a 3-win season as the median also seems very bullish. I'm not saying it can't happen because if he throws like 2024/2025 over 140+ frames he gets there easily - but for a median projection, that's a great sign
