How can I be content while I cannot remember the land I sprung from? I find my joy where I can, but contentedness is ephemeral so long as cruelty continues to rule our times.

I've just been looking at my boobs with gratitude because surgery sounds/feels so far away. then again, I got this far! I'm sure I'll get there, and I'm really glad you did. That sounds wonderful. <3

Written on the greeting card was a warm message urging its reader to always remember they are a wonderful person. I wish I could post a picture, but it's in a keepsake cache at home.
Anyway, I sunk into my kiosk out of view, broke down and cried. That act of kindness still gives me strength.

A woman bought a sunflower bear plushie from my kiosk and we bonded over how adorable they were. Then she turned to leave, had a second thought, brought a second bear to the register and began writing a greeting card. I smiled and rung her up. She smiled back, handed me the bear and walked away.

Putin and Trump are similar in that there is no evil too great for them to pursue if it means simply remaining in power - delaying their inevitable deaths. I hope they'll be damned, but when they're gone we'll still have plenty of weak, scared men like them to reckon with.
