Oh, is this about the Luidaeg question? I was referring to this part from chapter 5 of When Sorrows Come and Such Dangerous Seas

(Explanation: these started because at Funcon there was a workshop where you combined creatures and I made this bearphin that kept getting mistaken for a beark. I learned how to sew at the workshop- that creature was the very first time I used a needle and thread, and I won a Beeblebear for him 😄)

They won a commendation in the Masquerade and after hearing that, my partner said “Scar Ward, multi-convention award winning creator of stuffed animal hybrid creatures” and that is my favourite bio line now 😂

I felt like being in costume again on the Monday and I did wonder, is it okay to turn up to a panel in costume? Would it break some unwritten rule of professionalism?? But then I figured my costume with magical animal companions is pretty on theme for a portal fantasy panel 😂

I bought Toby books at the con bc I asked mum to send ones left at hers, as I wanted those signed, but despite being sent 24hours tracked, they ended up arriving 10 days late. Now my collection is an even more eclectic mix, but at least extra copies will help feed @seananmcguire.bsky.social's cats😄

Book haul! I’ve only gotten through a couple so far but I really enjoyed Voyage of the Damned in particular

I made these Otteals/Seatters and people loved them! I had more than a few “is that an OTTER on your shoulder?! Can I PET them?!!” interactions with total strangers, they made very cute icebreakers. Also very fun to have creatures living on your shoulders, and petting them was good for stimming 🦦🦭

I also made ribbons! It was fun handing them out, explaining one ribbon started a lot of conversations about my new award crusade, the others were good for meeting other fans, lots of people noticed them and asked where they could get them 🙂
