I'm glad I signed up for panels, the one I was most nervous about turned out really fun. Two panels I was part of are available for replay, How Children's Literature Shaped Fantasy in M2 and Home Sweet Home in Alsh 1 (portal fantasy in kidlit), check them out if you’re interested in the topics!

Book haul! I’ve only gotten through a couple so far but I really enjoyed Voyage of the Damned in particular

I made these Otteals/Seatters and people loved them! I had more than a few “is that an OTTER on your shoulder?! Can I PET them?!!” interactions with total strangers, they made very cute icebreakers. Also very fun to have creatures living on your shoulders, and petting them was good for stimming 🦦🦭

I also made ribbons! It was fun handing them out, explaining one ribbon started a lot of conversations about my new award crusade, the others were good for meeting other fans, lots of people noticed them and asked where they could get them 🙂

Entered a cosplay masquerade
Attended a convention panel
Been a panellist on a con panel
Sung at a filk circle
Attended Worldcon

I have now done all of those things and I’m glad I did!

It feels kinda late to be Worldcon-posting, but I was sick and drained afterwards, so here we go
