More than anything I felt it was the way I wanted to inspire others, to break away from the formulae of writing for publishers that won't take risks into unknown territory. Every generation books have to appeal to new audiences so there is always space to grow. My idea now of what writing is

and with it my understanding of what it meant to write. Or rather, what it meant for me to write. Stories weren't about revenue anymore, each book and game showed me the diverse ways you can tell it and that its not just entertainment or education (I'm wholly for combining the two at any given time)

being the tender age of 9. Chronicles of Narnia, the Alex Rider series, Mandy Mysteries, Hatchet, then onwards to Left Behind, The Hardy Boys, Tomorrow When The War Began, the Obernewton Chronicles and the bloody Jack series before RPG games started to take hold of my soul. my world expanded 20 fold

I can only imagine the line delivery for "have you licked a lampost in winter," to need to be so specifically dorky otherwise it would be creepy. And that's why Alistair was so much fun and so loveable in my opinion.

I had no trouble identifying what Zevran implied when he said on the first encounter he could warm my bed, with witcher 1 I managed to get every "sex card" by accident, I quickly learned "let's get to know each other better" is code for sex. XD

As much as we don't want others to experience our suffering, we also wish people had shown us the same kindness when we needed it most. Shown us that its not our fault and that we didn't deserve to drown in misery for some unknown reason.

Our experiences were vastly different but we have surfaced the drowning ocean together, supporting each other and our friends, showing them they're not alone either and trying to make sure they don't need to experience what we went through. With it comes a solidarity, as much a kind of loneliness.

MGS5 offering me the chicken hat on my first playthrough was the most humiliating and funny experience. I came back and got all the achievements and S ranked everything a year or two later. :)
Sometimes you just need time to learn the ropes, sometimes you're after an easy fun time.
